A Little History

This is the final of three cars in the collection that has a Ram Jet ZL1 motor. It is number 154 of 200 ever produced. The body of this Corvette stayed mostly stock, except for two additions: it has a large, cowl-induction hood to create extra space for the ZL1 motor. It also has polished steel exhaust pipes on each side, instead of on the back of the car. Almost the entire interior was refurbished by Robert Burda of RC Auto Marine Upholstery. It features custom-made, double-stitched, black leather seats, door panels, and dashboard, all reminiscent of the stock interior. It also has a custom-made Classic Instruments gauge cluster, and a billet alluminum steering wheel.

Did you know?

The term “Split Window” refers to the dividing bar on the rear windshield of the car. 1963 was the only year Chevrolet produced Corvettes with this feature.

This Corvette actually left the factory with the same stock body as the Asteroid, also on display!

Passengers of this car must have extreme caution when exiting the vehicle; the exhaust pipes can heat to more than 1000*F if used for extended periods of time!
