A Little History

Only 448 of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina were produced, making it a very special limited edition piece. This model was created as a salute to the 70th anniversary of the house that has styled ore Ferraris than any other and was celebration of the Scuderia Ferrari’s 2000 and 2001 World Championships for Formula 1 Constructors.

Following its reveal at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, the limited production was immediately sold to an elite group of Ferrari’s most loyal customers.

Its features included a more sporting interior featuring leather-wrapped carbon fiber racing seats and a carbon fiber trim, as well as spoke wheels and a manually operated fabric top for emergency use.

Did you know?

550 Barchettas were powered by the same alloy, 48-valve, four-cam engine as fitted to the Berlinetta that could take the open car to a top speed of 185 mph
Each car contained an individually numbered plaque carrying Sergio Pininfarina’s signature
